Community nurse visited us once two days after we left the hospital. She checked my baby and me and everything seemed fine.

  

我对于送到嘴里的东西是来者不拒, 奶瓶, 滴管, 安慰奶嘴, 手指, 我都欣然接受. 虽然有时很不好吃, 我直皱眉头. 有时我还饥不择食, 什么都啃, 我爸的耳朵,脸, 胳膊, 我都啃过了. 在我爸的胳膊上,我还种了个小草莓. 让爸妈大吃一惊.

  

Unluckily, I got a fever five days after the delivery. My husband drove me to the hospital. I already heard that the emergency service in the hospital was not so good and you could not get the treatment immediately. It was right. First, the nurse checked the patients one by one. Then she marked different levels of emergency and we just waited outside. Maybe one or two hours later, we were permitted to enter the treatment room and waited for the doctor. Another two hours passed. The doctor checked me and said it might be some infection which I guessed so. He gave me four pills of antibiotic and my husband needed to buy the medicine next morning in the drug store. This was the first time we went to the emergency in Canada. It was a terrible experience. I cannot image one day if my baby is ill, can I wait outside for 5 hours patiently and politely?

  

每回我张开小歪嘴, 把头转来转去, 妈妈就知道我饿了, 我就能喝到暖暖的乳汁.可是有几次,我等了好久, 也没东西吃. 我哭的好伤心, 我挥动双手, 踢掉被子,声嘶力截.后来才知道,原来妈妈看病去了.

  

After I finished the medicine, I got the fever again. We went to see the family doctor this time and he gave us another 10 days of pills. Two days after, I felt pain in the abdomen and we went to the emergency again. This time the doctor gave me the blood test and found nothing. He asked us to have ultrasound check. Well, the process was very complex. Next day, we went to the family doctor and told him that I needed ultrasound. He agreeded and  told the nurse  to call the ultrasound center for appointment. 

  

我的睡姿和妈妈一模一样. 两个手一定要放在外面. 爸爸一开始还给我抱蜡烛包, 但我越来越有力气, 总能把小手挣脱出来. 所以, 老爸已经放弃把我包蜡烛包了.

  

At first, the nurse booked ultrasound for me one month late. My husband almost quarrelled with her that one month was too long for me to wait. She tried again and the appointment was in next two weeks.She told us this was emergency level and we didnot have other choice. I was not surprised at this result; Canadian medical system was always having long waiting list. I remember once QiaoWen told me that with the long waiting list you would die before the treatment or you would recover by yourself. Fortunately, I felt fine after several days before I took the exam. The first month I was busy with breastfeeding, diaper changing, laundry and seeing the doctor.

  

从第三周开始, 我的胃口大开, 吃了还要吃. 而且, 我已经不满足于吃了. 我想看看周围的环境, 听听爸妈都在说什么. 我最喜欢扒在爸爸肩上. 站得高,看得远嘛. 我最不喜欢妈妈帮我洗脸了, 每次我都左躲右闪的, 可我的力气不够大, 所以我只好以哭泣来抗议.

  

One month later, my son was 56cm and 4.19kg.  He started to use diaper size one.
